ESI automation software has been integrated with alarm manufacturer Visonic‘s PowerManage, to allow visual verification of alarms containing images taken by cameras) in the events protocol. The integration will enable monitoring service providers to use ESI’s M1/V1 automation software to view and respond to alarms captured by Visonic’s Next CAM PG2 PIR camera detector.

PowerManage is the all-in-one IP receiver for monitoring service providers and central stations deploying Visonic security systems with broadband or GPRS. PowerManage supervises alarm systems and receives and forwards events to the automation software platform.

PowerManage provides remote management and control capabilities of Visonic alarm systems. These include arming and disarming of the alarm; support for visual alarm verification in burglary events as well as in panic and fire events; panel programming , diagnostics, background batch operations and mass configurations and message dispatching to homeowners. Briefly, ESI provides global software for Alarm Monitoring Stations, elderly care, video monitoring, and call centres.

Paul Dodds, the Managing Director of ESI UK Ltd (European Systems Integration), said: “With this new partnership, ESI’s customers are able to extend their offering to their customers with wireless security and visual verification solutions manufactured by Visonic and thus increase their revenue share.”

PowerManage’s support for visual events was previously integrated with several leading automation software solutions, such as Bold Manitou, Mastermind, SBN from IBS. Warren Brown, VP Product Management at Tyco Security Products added: “We are very pleased to add ESI’s V1/M1 to this list as it broadens the market opportunities for all of us — Visonic, ESI and our customers.”
