Integrated Systems

Vanderbilt at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

One year after its launch at the 2015 IFSEC exhibition, visitors to IFSEC International 2016 can visit Vanderbilt at stand G1250.

The company acquired Security Products from Siemens a year ago.

The last 12 months have been a period of considerable activity for Vanderbilt, the firm says. A rationalised supply chain management and logistics infrastructure has been initiated, which is already improving product availability to customers. A programme of activities will integrate Vanderbilt’s global operation across 95 countries, making over 2000 products available to all customers on increasingly short lead times. Vanderbilt has also made a number of key appointments in senior management. At IFSEC, the company will demonstrate the latest developments across all three of its product ranges – Access Control, Intruder Detection and CCTV

The exhibition will feature a preview of Aliro 2, the latest generation of Vanderbilt’s Aliro access control solution. Building on its predecessor and created alongside external developers, Aliro 2 is suitable the developers say for small to medium sized commercial applications, using internet-based software and intuitive mobile features. Using the Mercury firmware platform, which provides control, monitoring and data manipulation, it supports up to 512 doors, 10,000 users and 100,000 access cards. Visitors will also be able to see how it works with MiFare card readers featuring an integral LED based screen that facilitates cardholder interaction by displaying bespoke messages. Aliro 2 features integration with the Aperio locking product.

Vanderbilt’s SPC intrusion panel will take centre stage on the stand. Vanderbilt continues to develop more features for this range including its SPC Connect – which will also be shown at IFESC. This cloud-based innovation provides customers with remote access to control panels, in the knowledge that the process is highly secure, thanks to the financial grade SSL security. An installer can customise how he views data by setting up a feature which allows him to manage and control access rights to individual panels and groups of panels.

Also being shown, the Magic motion detector range offers detection of intruders and the makers claim high false alarm immunity. This will appear alongside the new colour range of SPC Compact Keypads.

New to the CCTV portfolio will be the Eventys range of cameras and recorders that are aimed at the set up and plug and play approach, for small to medium sized installations that require up to 20 cameras.

Vanderbilt will also be hosting a series of ‘Innovation Talks’ with key partners on its stand in the week on areas such as CMS solutions, closed network systems, integration and automation. The short briefings will be provided on request to visitors to stand G1250.

Joe Grillo, CEO of Vanderbilt, said: ‘It has been a tremendously exciting year at Vanderbilt and we are looking forward to sharing the results of our activities. In 2016 we will attend all the major trade shows in Europe. I want our customers to see our business as one that delivers on its commitments to be close to our market and our partners.

‘IFSEC attracts many UK and overseas visitors and therefore provides an excellent platform to further highlight our credentials as a uniquely independent organisation that is pursuing an aggressive expansion programme. We look forward to welcoming visitors to stand G1250, where our team of experts will be available to talk through our cutting edge innovations and discuss the benefits of working with us.’
