Tyco Security Products, part of Tyco, the multi-national fire protection and security company, will showcase its connected home products in its debut appearance at the 2016 CES show. That runs from January 6 to 9, in Las Vegas.

Tim Myers, Director of Product Marketing, Tyco Security Products and Thread Group Board Member, said: “Backed by our depth of experience and technology leadership in the residential security market, where we have millions of customers worldwide, our presence at CES highlights our focus on providing intuitive and innovative solutions to the smart home market. Our already broad portfolio offers customers a range of solutions for not only smarter and more interactive security, but also adds value with effective home management and remote monitoring capabilities which integrate with a wide range of platforms.”

At the CES booth will be Tyco Security Products’ wireless smart home solution, the IQ panel, which with Alarm.com’s interactive service, enables home owners to remotely arm and disarm their security systems, view camera feeds, and receive event notifications and system status updates. They can also use the product to control lights, locks, thermostats and other home digital devices. Sensors and other peripherals which integrate with the IQ panel, including smart door and window contacts and other smart sensors, will also be featured. Tyco Security Products will present home automation/smart home sensors which work across the smart home and allow smart home providers to offer to their customers.

Tyco adds that for open standards for unified IoT adoption, it serves on the Board of Directors and is a sponsor of The Thread Group, the not-for-profit consortium responsible for market education around the Thread networking protocol, which connects products in the home. Tyco Security Products adds that its home connectivity products support technologies like Thread, ZigBee, Zwave, WiFi and PowerG; and enable interactive services as well as smart home and home automation services – partnering with companies like Alarm.com, iControl, ADT (Global), Works with Nest, Telguard, SmartThings, IFTTT, and others.

On the CES show floor, a technology demonstration sponsored by The Thread Group runs at booth 70560, as well in the Texas Instruments (TI) Village, located off the show floor in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s North Hall in rooms N115-N120. Visit www.tycosecurityproducts.com.
