QR Scanner App

by Mark Rowe

The Wisenet QR Scanner App is, says the developer Hanwha Techwin, designed to help create a list of all Wisenet devices associated with a project, without having to take the products out of their packaging.

The App can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play and can run on any smart mobile device. It’s able to capture information on all the latest generation of Wisenet products, including model names, serial numbers and MAC addresses. This data can then be used to create a Bill of Materials (BOM) to verify that an order has been fulfilled and then that all devices have been installed. The information captured by the app can be exported to the Wisenet Device Manager software tool and edited so that installation engineers can configure the products, update their firmware, change passwords and much more.

Uri Guterman, pictured, Head of Product & Marketing for Hanwha Techwin said: “We are continually looking at ways at which we can make life easier for our customers and we are particularly driven to do so in the current tough economic climate. We are therefore very pleased to be able to capitalise on accurate and proven QR scanner technology to help reduce installation time and minimise costs.”
