Partners of ten years

The hard drive storage product company Seagate Technology LLC, and Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co, Ltd recently held a ceremony to mark ten years of partnership. It was at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center of China, during the China Public Security Expo (CPSE) 2017 show. Dahua Technology VP and General Manager of the Domestic Business, Zhang Wei; and Seagate Technology Global VP and President of China Region, Sun Dan, were present.

Seagate awarded Dahua the title of “Seagate Global Security Strategic Partner”, for cooperation between the companies and continuing to jointly develop market opportunities. Zhang Wei is pictured receiving the certificate of merit from Sun Dan.

Zhang Wei said: “In addition to the procurement and deployment of products, the partnership between Dahua and Seagate also involved all-rounded and in-depth joint effort in the hard disk technological evolution, customized research and development, and market promotion. Dahua and Seagate have long been more than just a simple customer and supplier relationship – we are strategic partners whose mutual cooperation is based upon a high degree of trust and interdependency.”

After the event, Shi Dong, channel business director of the Domestic Business, and Feng Li, senior product marketing engineer, stated that Dahua will launch in-depth cooperation with Seagate and introduce higher performance products and solutions.

Dahua says that as part of its “Cloud Ecosystem, Smart Future” strategy, the firm aims for “end-to-end computing” which integrates cloud and edge computing; and is expanding into fields such as smart cities, intelligent transportation, and smart homes.
