The Danish IP video management software (VMS) company Milestone Systems reports that it offers full and documented testing by Connex International for certification of Milestone Solution Partner integrations.

More than a dozen Milestone Solution Partners already have achieved certification: Agent Vi, BriefCam, Oncam GrandEye, The HawkEye Effect, Ipsotek, Mango DSP/Mate, Open Options, Prism Skylabs, Sentry 360, Technology Associates (TEAS), Technoaware, Viasys and VIT. These include analytics, video synopsis, 360 degree camera view dewarping, geo-spatial positioning, and access control.

Milestone’s VMS enables integrations with the company’s XProtect video surveillance software, pictured. The Milestone Integration Platform (MIP) includes a Software Development Kit (SDK) with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and is upgraded.

The Milestone solution certification carried out by Connex International tests and evaluates such third-party integrations with a focus on four areas: functionality, usability, performance and partner assessment. Christian Bohn, VP Strategic Alliances at Milestone Systems, says: “The independent validation through rigorous testing results in fully documented proof of third-party integrations with the Milestone XProtect VMS open platform. The certification provides extra assurance of reliable operability demanded by customers – the tough testing and evaluation process confirms that the integrated solution really works.”

After initial certification, there are options for yearly re-certification. This means that whether Milestone or the partner launches a new product version, it can be guaranteed that the integration is compatible.

“Our certification as a Milestone Partner means integrators can confidently deliver a complete visual merchandising and analytics solution to customers,” said Prism Skylabs Founder and CEO Steve Russell.

“Open Options has enjoyed a strong relationship with Milestone over many years to provide our customers with a unified solution that brings together access control and video management. We are very excited to be part of the MSP Certification Program to further validate the integration between DNA Fusion and XProtect. The program has not only provided us with valuable insight to help us improve our own products, but is also a tremendous value to our mutual customers with the assurance that they are receiving a top quality, proven integrated solution,” says Steve Fisher, CEO, OpenOptions.

“Mango DSP’s Mate VCA integration with Milestone provides our joint customers with a comprehensive and seamless video analytics solution based on open architecture. The Connex certification process documents that the integrated video management interface provides situational awareness for efficient and proactive response to focused real-time events while enabling the benefit of intelligence-based recording,” says Steve E. Forbes, Business Development Sales Manager at Mango.

“The Milestone Solution Partner Certification has had an immediate positive impact for The HawkEye Effect and our GeoSpatial Intelligence platform. In the software business it can be difficult to establish credibility, but this certification has opened doors for us. We have been invited to participate in opportunities from around the globe and we have successfully closed deals as a result,” says Jeffrey Blair, Chief Executive Officer at The HawkEye Effect.

And Dror Irani, CEO & President of BriefCam, says: “BriefCam views Milestone certification as another very important stage in the already strong relations between our two companies. Our technology integration and partnership began in 2009. Our VS Enterprise and the newly launched BriefCam Syndex for rapid video review are embedded tightly within Milestone XProtect’s top offerings. We are proud to be Milestone partners and believe firmly that this tie takes us from strength to strength.”
