The Danish IP video management software (VMS) company Milestone Systems has certification of five more Milestone Solution Partner integrations with such IT as servers, storage, and workstation products. The companies are EMC, HP Workstation, NetApp, PROMISE Technology and Seneca.
The IT infrastructure, server, storage and client platforms are parts of a networked video management deployment, Milestone says. Therefore, any miscalculations of the server or storage requirements will affect a system, resulting in outages and downtime. To address this, Milestone works with IT vendors so that their systems can be optimized for the Milestone XProtect software.
The Milestone Solution Certification for IT infrastructure products gives verification of the components as interoperable and optimized for working with XProtect VMS. Christian Bohn, VP Strategic Alliances at Milestone Systems, said: “Integrators and end users can build solutions with confidence when referencing the tested configuration data from the Milestone certification process. The documented proof describes how these video solutions operate within the parameters of the maximum performance tests. We have been doing integration certifications for several years, and these additions continue to build trust in Milestone solutions for both partners and customers.”
Each certification project has three phases, beginning with two scenarios of a benchmark test and a maximum performance test. Statistics from the Milestone XProtect Recording Servers are gathered to judge the performance as a platform for video recording.
