Integrated Systems

Panel partner

by Mark Rowe

After the launch of DigiAir Connected with Pyronix, the alarm signalling company CSL reports that the security product manufacturer RISCO are their latest Connected Partner. CSL are working with security panel manufacturers to bring installers panel-specific signalling. The aim; to combine the features of the DigiAir with those of an alarm panel and the added option of an end-user app.

The product firms say that ‘smart’ alarm systems are growing in popularity as more end-users opt for smartphone apps to control devices in their home from their phone. Apps have only been available with self-monitored systems but more users are demanding smartphone apps plus connection to an alarm receiving centre (ARC). Hence DigiAir Connected.

RISCO’s variants of DigiAir Connected – GSM and LAN – are available to order from your ARC. Installers can also enable ARC monitoring on existing and new installations where the communication hardware is already built within the panel with the new ARC Connection Only service. All these variants of DigiAir Connected are available on RISCO’s Agility3, LightSYS2 and ProSYS+ panels.

CSL’s Sales Director, Rob Evans, said: “Installers already have access to signalling products that provide end-user apps. DigiAir Connected is the only product to offer smartphone apps with reliable ARC connectivity. With end-user convenience and a guaranteed response to an alarm, DigiAir Connected also discourages self-monitored systems that bypass ARCs. We are delighted to welcome RISCO onboard as a CSL Connected Partner – with more manufacturers to follow soon.”
