The Arteco ALPR application is installable on Samsung Techwin Wisenet III cameras.
Developed by Arteco, the Italian video management software company, Arteco ALPR is a license plate reading application. The combination of the processor mounted on the Samsung cameras and Arteco’s OCR algorithm results in a product suitable for these applications, according to the firms:
– Access control
– Parking management
– Border control
– Automation of toll road gates; and
– Monitoring of residential areas
The product features include:
– Automatic recognition of European and US plates
– Optimizsd algorithm for recognition of non-standard plates (such as; motorcycle plates, double-lined plates)
– Real-time graphics editor for defining the areas in license plate recognition (multi-crop)
– Automatic correction algorithms to adjust for perspective distortions and/or rotations.
The application is natively supported by the Arteco software. Other LPR-only features include the management of lists of plates, the association with automation systems (such as barriers), email, SMS and audio notifications. The application can also be integrated with third-party video management software (VMS) and other applications.
