Integration with wireless locks

by Mark Rowe

Tyco Security Products announced that the latest version of AC2000 access control and security management software from CEM Systems is integrated to ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless locks.

The CEM AC2000 integration with ASSA ABLOY Aperio Wireless Locking provides customers with a way to add the flexibility of wireless locks to any door in an AC2000 secured facility. The wireless locks can be added to any AC2000 v7.1 access control secured site, allowing for the use of existing access cards. The Aperio locks are also managed through the AC2000 security management system, enabling the remote monitoring of alarms and remote door opening.

When used with AC2000 access control, the Aperio wireless locks are suitable the product firms say for a range of sites including hospitals, universities, data centres, or at any door where access control has previously been viewed as too costly, they add.

Richard Fletcher, Product Manager, CEM Systems said: “AC2000 is a fully integrated security management system that is designed with the customer in mind, providing flexible solutions that help increase security and improve operational effectiveness. This integration builds on that and provides our customers with a cost effective and convenient way to integrate wireless locks into their existing AC2000 secured site.”
