Integrated tablet

by Mark Rowe

BCDVideo has released the SMARTtablet, a 24-ounce, 10.1-inch integrated tablet that serves as a security management console, and a mobile client viewing station. The product comes standard with two 1080P cameras, one in front for video calls, and an 8MP camera in the back with built-in flash, 64GB Solid State Drive, Wi-Fi/cellular connectivity, and a Windows 8 platform.

Tom Larson, BCDVideo Director of Global Accounts, said: “As a mobile video viewing client running full-blown video management client software, you get full functionality of the video client from anywhere in the world. At 1.5 pounds, it is built to be a field unit for security integrators needing to manage projects on the road. The end-user applications are limitless, from shopping mall guards, school administrators-principals, and police on the beat, or any environment that requires mobile management.” Daniel Molnar, BCDVideo Solution Architect who designed the concept added: “with the embedded mobile application from the BCDVideo SMARTtablet, you can manage any of your projects from the one device from anywhere in the world. Logging into your ILO management allows you to view all health and performance values and take any appropriate measures to correct the issue. Open a remote Console to the server and perform any and all administrative tasks as if you were sitting right in front of the server.” The SMARTtablet option is available with any BCDVideo BCD380V8 series or Big Bertha server, featured last issue.
