The fire detection and security installer ISD Tech reports new hires: Graeme Currie joins as Technical Account Engineer; Gary Sturge as Site Manager; and Sarah Stanton as Project Engineer, pictured.

The company reports strong growth across many of its core sectors such as renewable energy, IT services, education and property development. Recent highlights include installations for fashion brands in London’s premium retail districts and an abseil-enabled installation of a VESDA early warning aspirating smoke detection system at Imperial College London.

Besides the UK, 2015 saw the company expand its international sales revenue to 65pc of turnover; projects included a multi-disciplinary biometric access control solution for an oil company in Oman; an access and security system for a US online retailer’s new China HQ; and networked security for European and Asia branches of a US investment bank.

Graeme Currie brings experience in IP and networked fire and security systems acquired over almost 20 years in senior posts at TYCO/ADT Fire and Security. Gary Sturge, spent 23 years in the Parachute Regiment, where his responsibilities included running military medical centres in extreme conditions ranging from the Arctic to desert, jungle and urban conflict zones. On leaving the Army, he transferred to the civilian sector to coordinate development of major security installations in the UK and Europe for multinationals.

Sarah Stanton joins from Gratte Brothers Security Management, where, as a security project engineer, she supervised CCTV, access control, visitor and traffic management and intruder alarm installations to a NACOSS Gold Standard. She has experience in construction projects across sectors including services, information technology, local government, retail, leisure and education.

Nicky Stokes, Managing Director of ISD Tech said: “Since introducing integrated turnkey fire detection with security alarm systems to our portfolio in late 2014, we’ve seen strong steady growth. Customers trust us to deliver impartial expertise, customised solutions and a quality of support that makes it easy for them to take advantage of advances in security technology without risk or disruption to their business. “By acting as a single source partner, we can deliver economies of scale, cost savings and operational efficiencies that offer our customers competitive advantage and measurable benefits. Furthermore, as an independent integrator, we can cherry pick from the best-in-class products and services available to ensure that our customers benefit from optimal performance and maximised return on their security investment.” Go to www.isd-tech.com.
