Milestone Systems, the networked video management software (VMS) company, announces a new programme for its hardware partners. Those hardware manufacturers can ship their servers, clients and storage solutions powered by Milestone XProtect software.
The VMS firm says that Milestone Channel Partners and customers will get tested and validated hardware configurations. With XProtect Essential+ preloaded on the hardware, the System Builder Program enables deployment of the Milestone VMS with a few clicks, or upgrade to one of the more advanced editions through a Milestone channel partner. Milestone says this extends the market reach beyond the markets the firm already targets with its Husky network video recorders.
Milestone customers also get access to software add-on options from Milestone Solution Partners and the more than 7,000 supported camera models and other hardware devices.
The company says that hardware partners who ship products with the Milestone VMS will be able to design hardware to fit specific surveillance market segments, and can tap into the IoT and Artificial Intelligence market. Milestone resellers and integrators, the software firm adds, can seek upsell opportunities from customers starting right away with XProtect Essential+.
