GJD at IFSEC 2015

by Mark Rowe

GJD, the British manufacturers and designers of external detector equipment including Clarius Infra-Red and White-Light LED Illuminators recently exhibited at IFSEC 2015. GJD showcased its latest intruder protection solutions consisting of IP surveillance, wired and wireless detectors and lighting.

Visitors from Europe, Africa and the Middle East came to the newly designed GJD stand. The company says that it has quickly adapted to the digital era and launched its Laser-Watch surveillance sensor, which is the newest addition to the company’s IP and digital range. The Laser-Watch is a sensor for detecting objects and humans with accuracy at long distances, according to the Lancashire firm. It can be used without the need for light, reflectors or separate transmitters and receivers that are used by other systems. It is a solution the makers say for police stakeout operations and other temporary perimeter security systems including harbours, airports, large industrial areas and freight terminals.

The new D-TECT IP range was also on display. The IP detectors work with a bespoke web based interface affording intuitive and online access. A user can change all of the detector settings remotely via the interface. Some of the adjustable settings include the ability to alter the LUX level trigger, sensitivity and detection range as well as setting activation for specific times.

Other products shown during IFSEC included Clarius Infra-Red and White-Light illuminators, the second generation D-LITE and the Dygizone lighting controller. Mark Tibbenham the company’s Managing Director, pictured, said afterwards: “IFSEC 2015 has been a great success. We launched an unprecedented number of product innovations and in turn we received a high number of quality leads.”

GJD is part of the Harmony Alliance, a group of electronic security manufacturers. As a member of the Alliance, GJD shared stand space with other members creating the ‘Harmony Village’. It is a tradition for the Alliance to host an annual invitation-only party after IFSEC to thank their UK and international business partners. A magician entertained guests. Visit www.gjd.co.uk.
