Digital Barriers, Kings partner

by Mark Rowe

Digital Barriers, the surveillance product manufacturer, has signed a strategic partnership with Kings Secure Technologies (Kings). Having introduced SmartVis SafeZone, Digital Barriers’ edge-based video analytics and intrusion software some years ago, Bradford-based Kings is now offering all Digital Barriers’ products including low bandwidth live streaming, real-time facial recognition and live-streaming body-worn cameras.

Digital Barriers says that the partnership opens up a new route to market, particularly in commercial fields – health, logistics, banking and retail. Two of the first services Kings will be offering with use of Digital Barriers products include a Remote Video Response Centre and a dedicated monitoring centre providing 24/7 support. Neil Hendry said: “In the process of discussions, it quickly became clear that Digital Barriers and Kings have a shared commitment to delivering innovative and agile technology. We’re delighted to have signed this strategic agreement which opens up a new channel through which commercial organisations can take advantage of our software solutions and services.”

And Bob Forsyth said: “Our mission is to offer pioneering and versatile technologies to our growing customer base. Having thoroughly evaluated the alternatives we’re delighted to be partnering with Digital Barriers who equip our in-house Technology Centre with truly unique and ground-breaking capabilities including facial recognition and live-streaming body-worn cameras.”
