Corps in 360 degree deal

by Mark Rowe

Corps Security reports a new agreement with manufacturer AMG Systems. The new alliance has made the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC) the first of its kind to remotely monitor the PanoCam360 camera.

Faz Colbhie, AMG Systems’ Business Development Manager, said: ‘PanoCam360 has no moving parts whatsoever, the 185 degree fisheye lens gives 360 degree horizontal and 180 degree vertical visibility at 12.5 frames per second, with no blind spots. Its ability to negate the use of multiple cameras means that it is highly cost effective and indoor and outdoor versions are available, the latter being IP66 rated with a vandal proof dome.’

About PanoCam360

PanoCam360 is part of AMG-Panogenics’ range of IP cameras. It is a five megapixel 360 degree device with built-in de-warping functionality and 14 electronic pan tilt zoom (ePTZ) video streams, which can be viewed live or recorded. This allows up to eight users to control the camera at once, without interference to other users.

Such 360 PanoCam360 IP cameras can capture the actions of an unlimited number of individuals or moving objects within its field of view – making it suitable for a range of applications including sports stadia, warehouses, offices and hospitals, the firms say.

‘Underpinning the ongoing development of the CMC is the utilisation of high end products that have undergone our rigorous internal assessment procedure,’ added Eric Roberts, Corps Security’s CMC business development director. ‘We know that AMG Systems provides high performance solutions that can be totally relied upon and the PanoCam360 is a unique product with a variety of very useful features – all of which are proving to be of significant interest to our customers.’
