Cloud-based version

by Mark Rowe

S2 Security, the US-based developer of enterprise security products, has released S2 NetBox Online, a cloud-based version of its S2 NetBox access control and event monitoring system. As a scalable subscription service, S2 NetBox Online offers both a pure web interface and the S2 Magic Monitor unified interface, the developers say.

John L Moss, CEO, S2 Security said: “Through the cloud, we are delivering multiple new solution options and services for S2 system owners. S2 NetBox Online allows our integrators and end users to benefit from the access control capabilities they expect from S2 NetBox products with the reduced footprint of cloud-based services.”

With S2 NetBox Online, features such as cardholder management, event monitoring, threat level escalation and reporting are accessible from any web browser. No software installation is required, the company says. S2 NetBox Online supports up to 64 portals and can connect to up to 32 S2 Nodes installed at single or distributed sites. The system works with card readers. As for management, system information is stored in the cloud at data centres, which comply with regulatory and audit standards. As a cloud-based solution, S2 NetBox Online minimises installation, maintenance and IT support-related expenses, the company adds.

S2 NetBox Online is also integrated with the S2 Mobile Security Professional app, which enables management and staff to operate the system from a mobile device. Visit s2sys.com.
