BYOD security agreement

by Mark Rowe

COMPUTERLINKS UK, the distributor of IT security and internet products, has an agreement with iScan Online, providers of BYOD security scanning on devices.

Dominic Wordsworth, product group manager at COMPUTERLINKS said, “While enterprise mobility continues to create new opportunities for the channel and its customers, it has also brought new challenges for security and compliance. The agreement with iScan Online provides our partners with a solution to address these challenges, which can be quickly integrated within their existing security and mobility portfolios and provides valuable additional revenue streams.”

iScan Online is available via channel partners and can be white labelled as part of mobility security. The recommended fee for an annual licence is £10 per device. The firms suggest it provides an additional revenue opportunity for IT channels.

iScan Online enables users to perform vulnerability, PCI and data discovery scans on mobile devices, through a series of browser-based technologies, mobile apps and cloud solutions. It also offers a downloadable version for integrating with remote monitoring and management.

“Service providers and resellers are often the experts on whom businesses rely to ensure their network infrastructure is secure and fully compliant,” said Carl Banzhof, CEO of iScan Online. “By partnering with COMPUTERLINKS, iScan Online can now offer the channel the tools they need to address the new and serious challenges that BYOD and mobility can pose.”

The agreement complements COMPUTERLINKS’ wider mobile management partner strategy, as iScan Online sits alongside other innovative and disruptive technology vendors including GLOBO, Ericom and MobileIron.
