Integrated Systems

Access control integration

by Mark Rowe

The Colorado-based access control manufacturer ISONAS Inc has integrated with Milestone Systems’ IP video management software (VMS), to offer integrated video and access control.

Integrated are the Milestone XProtect Smart Client and the ISONAS Crystal Matrix software. A user can keep their current Milestone video management software interface on the front end while adding access control to the back end.

This system fits within a customer’s IP video infrastructure and combines network-based “Pure IP” panel-less access control and IP video management software the companies say. The integration delivers real-time monitoring with video verification and the ability to respond to incidents, including locking and unlocking doors or triggering a lockdown.

Milestone are presenting this to customers and partners during the MIPS (Milestone Integration Platform Symposium) in Las Vegas on February 24 and 25.

Rob Mossman, CEO at ISONAS, says: “ISONAS is extremely excited to be exhibiting at MIPS and helping Milestone, a world leader in IP video management software, spread the word about this powerful integrated solution.”

ISONAS has waived its license fee as of January 1 for the ISONAS ACX license to integrate with the Milestone Access Control Module (ACM).

ProTrans is one customer of the Milestone/ISONAS solution, at their facility in Laredo, Texas, which is used to store third party inventory. ProTrans now can monitor, verify and restrict access to the facility while managing staff time and attendance and reducing theft and misplacement of inventory. Visit: www.isonas.com.
