Interpol travel

The identity card product firm Datacard Group has partnered with Morpho (Safran), the biometric product firm, to support the INTERPOL Travel Document Initiative.

Morpho is providing the secure ID management and document production used by INTERPOL, the international police body, in issuing electronic travel documents to its officials. Datacard Group is supplying its innovative 3D laser engraving technology for these next generation travel documents. Jim Runcie, regional vice president, EMEA, for Datacard Group, said: “Datacard Group is very pleased to be working with Morpho in support of this initiative. INTERPOL is committed to helping enhance security around the globe.”

Datacard adds that it provides ID for 400 ID programme for Governments in 100 countries. This includes travel documents, national IDs, driver’s licenses, healthcare and e-government projects. Visit www.datacard.com
