At Intergraf’s 2013 International Security Printers Conference and Exhibition on December 4-6, 2013 in Vienna, Nick Nugent, senior product manager, secure supplies and technologies for Datacard Group, will be speaking.
The International Security Printers Conference and Exhibition is in its 26th year, covering document security for printers, their suppliers and governments. The conference will discuss technology trends and new developments in printing and security in documents and credentials.
The session that Nugent will be giving focuses on “Personalization Security: New Defences Against ID Document Attack,” which is scheduled on Thursday, December 5, at 4:30pm. This will examine the trend of personalization security, including when variable personal data is used in security features to defend against counterfeiting, alteration and component theft.
Nugent said: “Security remains a major concern in identification documents such as national IDs, driver licenses and passports, so that forgery and counterfeiting are minimalised.”
With nearly 30 years focusing on product development, management and marketing for identification documents, Nugent has a degree in Applied Chemistry, and has created and delivered Counterfeit Detection Courses for the National Document Fraud Unit in the UK.
Datacard Group will also be exhibiting at the show, stand E3+E4. For more about the event visit http://securityprinters.org/.
