At the guarding contractor Ward Security, Executive Finance Director, Ben Draper has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, a new position. The firm says that Ben, pictured, will be an integral part of the Ward Security executive leadership team alongside the founders Kevin Ward, Managing Director and David Ward the CEO.
The company, founded in 2000, has a turnover of £31m. The business points to growth at a compound annual rate of over 18pc during the last five years, one of the highest rates in the guarding sector.
Ben joined Ward in 2013 as FD Designate from an accountancy practice; during his time in practice he gained experience across a number of industries and qualified as a chartered accountant. He was promoted to Executive Finance Director and the board of Ward Security Holdings in 2015. He’s been part of the Executive board for the last three years and responsible for steering the business through a period of accelerated growth while improving financial performance.
As Chief Operating Officer, he will be pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of all business departments as well as implementing the core long term objectives of the business financial and non-financial.
