At the facility management (FM) contractor ABM UK, Chris Townsend has been appointed as senior director of HR for the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
For the past ten months Chris has worked in a contractor role to support the UK HR team. In his new role, the FM firm says, he’ll refine the company’s HR strategy for business units in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Initial priorities are to include greater alignment in the UK with a new HR operating model in areas such as talent, rewards and HR shared services, while leading the company’s HR business partners.
Chris has HR experience across a range of sectors including media technology, manufacturing, outsourced services, and facilities management. Most recently serving as HR Director at Renaissance Services SAOG, an international facilities management company, he supported the transformation of the business in Oman, Dubai and Abu Dhabi by designing a HR function. Prior to this, Chris spent 22 years as HR Director of contractor Mitie’s FM division.
