Security personnel awards

by Mark Rowe

The regional winners of this year’s Security Personnel Awards have been announced by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).

The awards are now in their 16th year, to recognise the hard work of those working within the security industry. They cover five categories: Best Team, Outstanding Act, Service to the Customer, Best Newcomer and Best Use of Technology. Pictured left to right are Trevor Elliott, Director of Manpower and Membership Services at the BSIA presenting a north east region award to Ged Quinn of Securitas.

James Kelly, Chief Executive at the BSIA said: “Each year we receive a high number of applicants and It is always fantastic to see the high level of achievements within the security Industry. The awards are always so hard to judge due to the exceptional standard of applicants, and this year was no exception.

“The BSIA prides itself upon representing the very best in the security industry and the outstanding contributions of our award winners merely solidify this. We are extremely proud to be associated with the talent displayed by our winners and look forward to presenting them with their awards.”

The award presentations will take place across the UK in the coming months, with each of the winners going forward to the national judging. The national winners will be presented with their awards at the association’s annual lunch on July 16 in London.
