Ward Security has appointed Andy Hedley-Smith as General Manager, Response and Control. Andy, pictured, has spent the past 31 years working for Kent Police and the Metropolitan Police where he reached the rank of Chief Inspector with both forces. At the Kent based supplier of security and front-of-house services he’ll be working alongside the Director Team and Response and Control teams.

Kevin Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security said: “It is vital we continue to ensure that the operational function of the business is as robust as possible to support the challenges we face as the business continues to grow. Andy’s appointment will help further improve our service to our customers and our effectiveness in the marketplace, allowing us to concentrate on our growth plans and strengthen our company in the marketplace.”

Andy Hedley-Smith will be based at the company’s Coach House site at Pembroke, Chatham Maritime. He started earlier this month.
