by Mark Rowe

Incentive FM, part of the Incentive FM Group, has appointed Claire Rumsey as Operations Director. Claire has been with the FM contractor for the past four years in regional management roles, responsible for overseeing key contracts. She has a background in engineering and manufacturing, joining the FM firm from Pall Corporation where she was Manufacturing Process Manager. In her new position she will work alongside fellow Operations Director Glenn Wilson, and take a place on the main board. Her remit will include strategic client relationship management, supporting business growth and developing and delivering the business strategy for the operations.

Bruce McDonnnell, Managing Director at Incentive FM, said: “As we continue on our sustainable growth path, it is vital that our capacity planning ensures our culture of senior level involvement remains the same, both for our customers and our staff. It is an important part of who we are and Claire’s appointment will support this approach.”

Meanwhile, a number of the company’s clients were recognised at this year’s SCEPTRE awards. Three clients in the shopping centre sector were announced as winners and runners up at a ceremony in June. The SCEPTRE Awards mark best practice across the shopping centre industry from environment to customer service. Friars Square shopping centre in Aylesbury, took the Security Team of the Year award, while Bluewater in Kent and Crystal Peaks shopping centre in Sheffield received ‘Highly Commended’ in the same category. Crystal Peaks was also recognised as a runner up in the Customer Service team of the year category. The centre’s Operations Manager, Steve Salisbury, gained the Operations Manager of the Year Award.

Bruce McDonnell said: “The SCEPTRE Awards recognise the best of the best in the shopping centre industry so we are extremely proud that our clients and teams have been recognised. We want to congratulate all the centres that received an award on the night, it is testament to the ongoing hard work of everyone involved.”
