Guarding

Luton tender

by msecadm4921

Luton Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers who can meet all of the legal requirements of LBC contracts in CCTV maintenance and supply, control room monitoring and guarding services for the Bedfordshire town.

Luton Borough Council operates a CCTV control room for the monitoring of public space and council buildings; historically operators have been provided by the contractor G4S (previous Securicor, acquired by G4S). Both the monitoring and the maintenance of equipment are contracted out to two separate contractors. In addition, the council contracts out several security and security guarding services via various arrangements across the council.

This scope could be further extended to include alarm monitoring services for internal local authority clients and external business clients. Luton Borough Council would like to further develop the service to include CCTV monitoring and maintenance for third parties.

For more detail of the tender visit the Luton borough website. Deadline for the PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) is August 6, 2012, at 5pm.

As reported in the April 2009 issue of Professional Security, the installer for Luton council has been Quadrant Security Group.
