Cordant Services has gained contracts to supply a range of cleaning, security and front of house services to the University of London.

The contractor says that dedicated teams will create a clean, safe and attractive environment within all the buildings of the university’s academic and residential estate. The contracts, which will run for five plus two years, cover services including: general routine cleaning, periodic cleaning, and ancillary. Manned security services will include regular mobile patrols across the Bloomsbury Precinct in central London, and concierge and reception services. Front of house, portering and mailroom teams will also fall under the company’s remit.

In total, more than 150 staff have transferred to Cordant under TUPE regulations.

Paul Wilkinson, Director of Property and Facilities Management at University of London, said: ‘We were very impressed with Cordant Services ability to provide high quality services across a wide range of disciplines, to support the activities of our varied set of stakeholders. We wanted to find a flexible and service centric partner. Cordant Services was the clear choice.”

And Jamie Reynolds, Group Commercial Director at Cordant Services, said: “This key business win signifies that Cordant Services has the proficiency to deliver industry-leading services. We are excited to secure this partnership with the University of London, strengthening our presence in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.”
