Landsec contract

by Mark Rowe

The property management company Landsec has given a five-year contract to provide FM services at their five premium outlet shopping centres across the UK to the facilities management contractor Incentive FM. This latest agreement builds on a four-year relationship that continues to see Incentive FM work alongside the commercial property firm at Bluewater, the retail and leisure destination.

Under the terms of the new deal – which commenced on Monday, April 1 – Incentive FM will deliver cleaning and security, take responsibility for M&E and the building fabric, and provide guest services at The Galleria in Hatfield, Braintree Village, Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth (pictured), Clarks Village in Street and Junction 32 Shopping Village in Castleford.

Some 250 staff will be transferred to the FM firm under TUPE, where they will receive induction, and refresher training, and take part in Incentive FM’s ‘Incredible Experience Programme’.

Incentive FM was recently awarded a new five-year deal at Bluewater, after operational delivery over the past three years. The FM company says that it has enjoyed a long affiliation with Bluewater, working in the early days before the centre’s opening as FM consultant and advisor to the landlords.

Colin Wilding, Senior General Manager at Landsec, said: “Since 2015 Incentive FM has demonstrated its commitment to excellence whilst working with us at Bluewater. We are now excited to extend this partnership even further and we are sure that this latest agreement will benefit our guests at our outlet destinations.”

Bruce McDonnell, Managing Director at Incentive FM, said: “We secured this contract following a rigorous tender process where we were able to proudly stand by our incredibly high standards and our obligation to deliver the very best guest experience.”
