by Mark Rowe

The contractor and ACS Pacesetters guarding company Kingdom Services Group Ltd has made another acquisition: Contact Industrial Recruitment Ltd, based in Manchester.

Founded in 1997, Contact Recruitment is a multi discipline recruitment agency partner, specialising in the recruitment sectors of driving, industrial, waste and recycling and managed services. Contact says that looks forward to using the Kingdom platform to develop further future recruitment growth throughout the UK.

And Kingdom says that the Contact acquisition continues their strategic expansion plans. Terry Barton BA Hons Law, Chief Executive Officer of Kingdom, pictured right, said: “Providing compliant workforce solutions has always been our core business strength. The acquisition of Contact not only seriously increases our recruitment sector market share but also offers our current and new customers a great national recruitment solution in an ever-changing regulatory landscape.

“Strategic acquisitions has always formed part of our growth strategy. It is extremely important that when we acquire a business that there is a culture and values fit to that of Kingdom. Throughout all our negotiations we were incredibly impressed with Michael McIntyre (CEO of Contact Recruitment) as a person and with what he has achieved. It will be very much `business as usual’ with the same great people providing the same great service. Kingdom will support, guide and enhance the integration of Contact with our expertise, technology and software solutions to deliver a new and dynamic premier national recruitment service called Kingdom Recruitment, so please give Michael a call.

The Kingdom leadership team and I share the same aspirations and I’m excited about being a key part in the journey which is being created through this acquisition. I will continue to drive our business forward and provide the same level of customer focused interaction that has been the bedrock of our great service.”

Separately, Newton-le-Willows-based Kingdom has hailed its recent SIA approved contractor audit score of 141 – of a possible 145 under the refresh of the scheme by the SIA launched in the spring.
