Pilgrims guarding officer Alan Kalule has won the National Officer Gold Award at the company’s annual ceremony.
The Pilgrims Manned Guarding Awards, at the Double Tree by Hilton, Woking, saw eight officers and three teams win accolades for their dedication, innovation and willingness to go the extra mile. Kalule, pictured right, who works with the company’s Chapeltown, Leeds, team for a pharmaceutical client, won the award for his skills as a team player and leader.
The Pilgrims senior management team said: “Alan Kalule has always displayed the attributes of a first class officer. He readily participates in helping in any way he can to improve the service to the client, including reviewing processes and procedures with the minimum of fuss. He understands what is required and always delivers.”
Describing him as someone who steps forward to volunteer to support the team, including amassing significant number of hours in overtime, the team added that he was reliable, justifiably self-confident and calm under pressure.
Silver and Bronze awards went to guarding officers Joe Gough and Ghazanfar Ali, respectively, while Best Team awards went to Seqirus Speke (Gold), Immediate Media, Hammersmith, (Silver) and Sanofi Guildford (Bronze)
Pilgrims COO, David Freear, pictured left, said: “These awards recognise the extremely high level of service that our teams deliver to our clients. Every single member of staff can make a difference and we are delighted to reward those who have provided exemplary service throughout the year, going beyond the call of duty to add value to ours and our clients’ businesses. Presenting these awards is always a great pleasure.” Winners were:
