Florette deal

Cordant Security, the manned guarding arm of the services contract firm Cordant Group, has been awarded a contract with Florette Salad Ltd.

Cordant will be providing a range of security services at the company’s head office in Lichfield, and the production and distribution site in Skelmersdale. This includes 24-7 gatehouse duties, site patrols and night-time security by a team of six guards.

Julie Priestley, Human Resources Director at Florette said: “We have steadily built our reputation as a leading provider of salad products over the past 18 years in the UK and as a result we are now a household name. The production site and head office are at the heart of our business therefore our security partner needed to provide a flexible and efficient service. We are confident Cordant will be able to deliver this contract to the high standard we require.”

And Brendan Musgrove, pictured, Managing Director at Cordant Security, said: “Florette is a leading supplier of salad products to a wide range of prominent retailers across the UK, so maintaining the company’s high brand reputation is key. We provide security services to several food production sites across the country and therefore understand the specialist skills that are required to ensure the safety of the food and people on site. We look forward to seeing this relationship grow in the future.”
