TC Facilities Management has acquired London-based security business, Equinox Security Management Limited, for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition takes immediate effect. Equinox will continue to operate using the same name and management team, under the TC Facilities Management umbrella. Paul Kennedy, Chief Executive Officer of TC Facilities Management says: “This is a truly significant move for us. It is privately owned with outstanding levels of customer service, significant skill base and a good client retention record, making it a perfect fit with TC Facilities Management and our service ethos.”
Paul adds: “The purchase is a key element of TC Facilities Management’s UK expansion programme and puts us on track to hit strategic FM service, growth and acquisition targets for 2013 and beyond. It is an exciting time for the business and we would not rule out additional acquisitions in the future.”
The FM firm says that its acquisition of Equinox, which has clients in the retail, Shopping Centre, Events, Business and Industry sectors, will help the company achieve its “Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG): ‘to deliver integrated facilities management services brilliantly well, continually adapting and innovating to our customers’ changing needs’. The purchase also adds to Surrey-based TC’s geographic presence across the UK.
TC Facilities Management have been providing to Tesco for over 50 years. It services over 1,100 of the retailer’s stores and although it already delivers security solutions to Tesco using a Preferred Service Provider, TC says the acquisition of Equinox will enable the FM firm to explore previously untapped markets.
