Clarity in choice

by Mark Rowe

Financial clarity is vital when choosing a security provider, says a guarding contractor MD. The financial clarity of a security provider is a key criterion for businesses to consider when choosing a company to work with, according to Abbey Petkar, Managing Director of Magenta Security. In his new whitepaper ‘Managing Your Security’, Petkar highlights key characteristics that businesses should look at when choosing their security provider. One of the most important is the financial clarity of a security provider with regards to its expenditure, allocation and guarantees.

Magenta says that it operates an open-book policy; an approach that shows customers a breakdown as to where every single penny is spent, and Petkar believes it is this transparency which differentiates Magenta from other security companies.

Abbey Petkar, pictured, says: “When selecting a security company to work with, clients should consider a wide range of criteria, including financial transparency. If you can be confident that the officers concerned are getting the best pay rates available, then you can be confident of their morale and their commitment to professional service. These two factors will be key in assuring your satisfaction. I believe the real litmus test of good service is in the resolution of a problem. At Magenta, we offer a refund on the profits of any particular month if we fail to deliver the service to which we have been contracted. What’s more, in the three years we’ve been running the scheme, we’ve never had to offer a refund – a fact of which I am very proud. The aim of my guide is to help clients consider everything in relation to selecting a security provider and helping them make an informed decision so that they get the best possible service.”

Magenta Security has its head office in Hounslow, with operations in Swindon, Birmingham, Manchester and Kent. It provides security officers, mobile services, graffiti removal, electronic security and remote monitoring. For more information call 0845 500 0786 or visit www.magentasecurity.co.uk.
