BNP Paribas contract

by Mark Rowe

A three-plus-two-year contract to provide security services to the international bank BNP Paribas in London has gone to Corps Security. The contract involves manned guarding and event guarding services, with close protection services for senior staff; and systems monitoring from Corps’ monitoring centre at Paisley outside Glasgow.

BNP Paribas operates in 77 countries and is the world’s seventh largest bank by assets. It was formed by the merger of Banque Nationale de Paris and Paribas in 2000, and can trace its history to its first foundation in 1848 as a national bank.

More than 40 Corps Security staff will work across four sites in the capital including three in the City, besides Harewood Avenue in Marylebone. Mike Bullock, CEO of Corps Security, said: “BNP Paribas was founded in 1848, just 11 years before Corps Security. We’re delighted to be working in partnership with one of the most established names in the banking world to deliver a truly innovative security offering.”
