Belle Vale renewal

by Mark Rowe

Anchor Group Services report the renewal of a security and cleaning services contract at Belle Vale Shopping Centre in Liverpool.

Anchor have been contracted to provide services since April 2008 and the most recent contract renewal will see this partnership extend beyond 14 years. After five years as a cleaning services only provider the company was also awarded the security services, a combined contract which now enters its third contract term.

Deeside-based Anchor reports that it has overseen the transition and development of staff from traditional security and cleaning roles into customer services. Most recently the contractor supported Centre Manager, Paul Wilson in the introduction of specialist ambassadorial roles in areas such as Disability Awareness and Health and Safety. Anchor adds that it’s looking to expanding to environmental management and Mental Health First Aid during this contract term.

Andrew Harper, CEO of Anchor Group Services said: ‘Belle Vale has been a long-standing partner and was our second shopping centre partnership upon the formation of our cleaning division in early 2008. To have retained this contract in such a competitive market sector is testament to the skill and vigilance of every Anchor employee employed at and in support of Belle Vale Shopping Centre. The Centre has been a real catalyst for Anchor’s growth in this sector and we now deliver security and cleaning services for Belle Vale Shopping Centre’s Managing Agent, Munroe K Asset Management, at eight shopping centres across the UK and employing 167 team members.’
