Aylesbury addition

by Mark Rowe

The contract security company Orbis Protect reports new premises and jobs to support what it terms its continued growth into 2020.

The company has agreed terms on new depot and office space in the centre of Aylesbury after recent contract wins to provide vacant property and site protection for social sector housing and commercial buildings, and extended service agreements with clients.

The premises in Rabans Close will employ up to six new members of staff, that Orbis is recruiting. Orbis Protect says that it now has 19 offices, spanning all UK regions, and supports hundreds of clients.

Orbis Protect’s South East branch manager, Gavin Kelly, said: “Our new office extends our regional presence and builds on our excellent track record in Aylesbury and across the South East. This is a fantastic way to start 2020, and I’m looking forward to building a new team here and delivering for our clients and partners.”

The contractor works in sectors including construction, housing, manufacturing, retail, and professional services. Last year, the company posted its strongest ever annual financial results, with turnover for 2018/19 increasing by nearly 11pc, and profits rising by 26pc.

Orbis CEO Guy Other, pictured, added: “We have big plans for growth this year and investing in Aylesbury is an important part of this ambition. This a natural step for the team, following its excellent work and new business in Aylesbury. We’re really pleased to be hiring new members of staff and building a new team in Aylesbury.”

The firm’s recent local new clients include Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust, which owns and manages more than 21,000 homes across the district.
