Away kit sponsor

by Mark Rowe

The Midlands-based security guarding company, Foremost Security, has supplied a local football team with a new away kit.

Dunkirk FC was established in 1948, and the Dunkirk Colts under eights has been going since 2015. Struggling to find a sponsor, the team sought help from local businesses in Nottinghamshire.

David Mann is the team manager. He said: “When we first started, nearly two years ago, we found it difficult to find a local sponsor who could support us. We were having to use kits that the other teams had handed down.”

Last year Foremost Security approached the club and offered to provide them with their first ‘away’ football kit.

Matt Prince, Business Development Manager at Foremost Security, said: “We wanted to give something back to the local community through sponsorship of a local sports club and it felt right to do that with Dunkirk. It gives us great pleasure knowing that the youngsters can play their matches in a nice new kit week in week out.”

David reports that he has already started to see the benefits for the team. “With clubs like ours, it’s always difficult to find the funds to provide kits etc. We really appreciate the ongoing support from Foremost, and we look forward to continuing to work with them.”
