Nittan Europe at FIREX 2018

by Mark Rowe

Nittan Europe, the manufacturer of conventional and addressable fire detection products, is exhibiting its products from the Evolution range, and previewing additions, at stand A350 at FIREX International 2018. The show runs beside IFSEC at London’s ExCeL from June 19 to 21.

Nittan’s new stand, in a new central location at this year’s show, has been designed for interactivity, the company says. Products are mounted on low level displays to enable visitors to get hands on, while touch screen TVs will feature Nittan promotional and taster training videos.

New products being previewed at the show include a range of modules to allow for connection to more third-party equipment; and an EN54-23 wall mounted red flashing Beacon designed for areas where people with hearing difficulties may be alone, places with high levels of ambient noise, and areas with restricted access.

These new products will shortly be joining Nittan’s Evolution range. The developers say it combines fire detection with a very high degree of protection against unwanted false alarms. Its highly flexible protocol is resistant to interference and allows for substantial amounts of information to be transmitted at speed.

Evolution products on display at FIREX will include Analogue Addressable and Conventional detectors (including patented, award winning Dual Optical technology), plus Audio Visual Devices, Bases, Manual Call Points, Isolators and existing Modules.

Nittan’s evo+ and evolution 1 fire alarm control panels will be displayed, which are fully compliant with BS EN54 parts 2 and 4. The evo+ range is also compliant to EN54 part 13 which is the European compatibility assessment of system components; ie. “Systems Standard”. Both ranges have the latest dual flash-based microprocessors. Both the evolution 1 and evo+ ranges are compatible with the full range of Nittan Evolution analogue addressable fire detection devices.
