Hochiki Europe at Ecobuild 2017

by Mark Rowe

The life safety systems manufacturer Hochiki Europe will be showing its latest low voltage emergency lighting systems, including FIREscape, FIREscape+ and FIREscape lite at stand E191 at Ecobuild 2017. The product company will also be offering advice on energy and cost saving, in line with this year’s theme for the event – Regeneration.

FIREscape is a low voltage emergency lighting system that generates less than five per cent of the CO2 emissions produced by traditional lighting, the product firm says. Using LEDs, it is a fully intelligent emergency lighting concept which offers end users financial savings of up to 95 per cent in energy costs, it is claimed, compared to traditional forms of lighting.

FIREscape+ is based on the FIREscape emergency lighting system and combines emergency lighting and fire detection on one cable, with one control panel managing both functions. This has been designed to inform building occupants of unsafe exit routes during emergencies with its ‘way-finding’ functionality.

The newest offering in the FIREscape range, FIREscape lite, will also be on display and is for smaller projects and refits. The system uses FIREscape luminaires and exit signs powered directly from a building’s main electricity supply by use of self-contained transformer units, to reduce costs and add greater ease of installation.

Paul Adams, marketing manager at Hochiki Europe said: “Ecobuild is a key event for the construction sector. It provides a unique opportunity to meet professionals working across the built environment and discuss ways in which life safety technology can have an impact on how we design and build sustainably.”

Hochiki Europe will be exhibiting on stand E191 at Ecobuild 2017 from March 7 to 9, at the ExCel, London Docklands. Visit: www.hochikieurope.com.
