Door Entry

Intercom panel

by Mark Rowe

Access control manufacturer Intratone is launching its new V4 Video Intercom Panel at the Chartered Institute of Housing’s (CIH) Conference and Exhibition, CIH 2018, at Manchester Central from June 26 to 28.

The V4, pictured, is aimed at private property managers. It includes a handsfree fob reader that allows residents to open the door when stood within one metre. As for installing, the panel is fixed on a hinge so during installation it opens outwards for easier maintenance. The panel features a 3G and 4G module, pinhole camera, coded keypad with 12 back-lit keys with name scroll, and hands-free proximity reader.

Intratone’s wireless intercoms (Audio and video DDA compliant intercoms); access control systems (coded keypad and proximity reader); and its digital noticeboard, which enables users to achieve better communication with residents, will also be on show on the stand.

Dan Bacon, Area Sales Manager at Intratone, says: “If a resident loses a fob, their property manager or housing association is instantly and remotely able to establish the identity of the fob and disable it for future use. A new fob can be easily activated on the free and secured INTRATONE cloud-based management site and sent out to that individual. This saves time and money and enhances the security of each property.”

The product firm also points to cost-efficiency benefits: since there is no handset for its intercoms, maintenance and hardware costs are kept minimal. The requirement for overall systems’ maintenance is virtually non-existent as everything is managed on a secure, free web platform, the makers add.

Intratone’s UK export team will be present including Jack Wylie, Regional Sales Manager for the North of England. Visit http://www.intratone.com.
