Zoom option

by Mark Rowe

A remotely operated, 10x zoom option is now available with Grundig’s 960H, analogue, vandal-resistant mini domes (GCA-C2357V, pictured) and bullet cameras (GCA-B2357T).

Both cameras use a 3.8 to 38mm auto-focus zoom (AFZ) lens, with a viewing angle of 5.5 degrees to 50 degrees, to give operators a zoom, in these fixed camera formats. The vandal-resistant dome option also features ‘U’ form IR LED illuminators and s UVV Kassen Certified – a German accreditation, which allows the camera to be used in banks.

Andreas Franusic, product manager at Grundig says: “The adaptive IR LED technology used in our 960H analogue cameras avoids scene or target saturation. A ‘U-form’ array of 28 IR LEDs provides night-time illumination in the vandal-resistant dome, and the bullet camera has 35 IR LEDs mounted around the lens. Both cameras produce uniform scene illumination up to 45m, depending on scene reflection and content.”

The cameras are true day/night and use Sony quarter-inch CCD, 960H, Ex-view HAD II sensor. This produces image resolutions of up to 700TV lines in black and white and 650TVL in colour modes. Both cameras are IP66 rated and operate in ambient temperatures as low as minus 25 degrees C, without needing a heater. A wide dynamic range (WDR) feature has improved scene contrast and high light compression (HLC) removes over-exposed parts of a scene altogether.

Each camera has eight polygonal privacy zones, 12vDC or 24vAC power options, multi-language menus and RS-485 remote set up.
