by Mark Rowe

Wavesight Wireless Solutions Pvt Ltd has announced a new partnership with UK-based SmartWitness.

Wavesight Wireless Solutions Pvt Ltd, has signed an exclusive agreement with the vehicle CCTV supplier SmartWitness to supply the SmartWitness range of transport products to the Indian market. SmartWitness, a division of CCTV manufacturer and distributor Y3K, already distributes its VOSA-compliant products, which have been approved for use in commercial vehicles, to 50 countries.

David Saldanha, Managing Director Wavesight, pictured, said: “This new partnership that Wavesight India has established is an exciting opportunity to supply integrated transport surveillance solutions to this growing market. We’ve seen strong demand for CCTV on buses and trains to help improve passenger safety levels. SmartWitness has a long and well-established track record in delivering innovative integrated CCTV solutions for the transport industry. To my mind, SmartWitness with its mobile CCTV experience along with Wavesight’s transmission expertise and capabilities is an ideal partnership for the Indian market.”

The SmartWitness range of vehicle CCTV products includes 3G/4G wireless transmission cameras, which transmit video of an event, as well as on-board vehicle DVRs with live viewing and playback of cameras and GPRS tracking units that can be integrated with CCTV cameras for event notification.

Visitors to IFSEC India 2014, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on December 11 to 13, will be able to see live demonstrations of the Wavesight and SmartWitness partnership on stand C91.
