A TV chef has hired a south west-based fire and security contractor for a third time to protect a new restaurant in Bristol.
After the installation of a CCTV system and intruder alarm at Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen in Plymouth, Securi-Guard has fitted another system to the latest premises at St John’s Court Hall, a Grade-ll listed 19th century church building in Clifton.
The company has supplied and installed a monitored intruder alarm system and a high tech, digital CCTV system.
Like the system at the restaurant in Plymouth’s Royal William Yard, the CCTV can be viewed remotely from an office or home computer, over broadband.
The Bristol restaurant installation is the third contract the Plymouth-based security firm has carried out for Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and his River Cottage business. In February 2012, the company installed a fire and security system at the TV chef’s River Cottage headquarters in Axminster in Devon after the historic converted barn where it was housed was destroyed by fire.
It meant Hugh’s team was forced to erect a marquee to carry on hosting events and cookery training at the site and Securi-Guard was called in to fit an intruder alarm with smoke detection to the marquee and general offices.
Martin Demuth, a Business Development Manager for the Technical Systems Team at Securi-Guard, said: “We were delighted to be asked to handle a third installation for this client, following the success of the work we carried out at Plymouth’s Royal William Yard and Axminster.
“Like the Plymouth restaurant fit, we once again worked very closely with the shopfitting team and the electrical contractors to ensure all works dovetailed and were carried out as swiftly and effectively as possible.”
TV chef and broadcaster Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall believes in sourcing through local suppliers.
