Quad 4K decoder

by Mark Rowe

Antrica, the UK-based supplier of H.264 video encoding, decoding and streaming products, at IFSEC 2016 unveiled a new Quad 4K Decoder.

The latest product to be launched by Antrica is the ANT-37000; it decodes and displays four RTSP video IP streams x 1920 x 1080p simultaneously on a 4K/UHD display. Most
commonly this would be used in the CCTV market, the firm says; however decoding four HD IP streams opens this application up to signage, broadcast and other markets.

This ANT-37000 eliminates the need for an Intel NUK or PC running software and using a keyboard and mouse. The decoder decodes the RTSP feeds directly on to a monitor without any operator intervention. The 4K capability also increases the detail available by displaying all four streams in their native resolution. The decoder comes with software to allow the user to manipulate the display of feeds. Each of the four displays can be programmed to change stream at any time frame required by the user. A remote control allows for user control by displaying any feed full screen or reverting to quad display.

Les Litwin Sales Director of Antrica said : “A real life example of the ANT-37000’s application could be decoding 4 Video Over IP HD cameras without the need for a NUK or computer. Examples of use range from home security systems to businesses wanting to display four feeds in excellent quality this product is a low cost, efficient solution. This product could also be referenced to a revitalisation of the retro CCTV quad spot monitor, brought into the future with 4K and IP capabilities.”
