Pelco by Schneider Electric has released the new Spectra Enhanced Series PTZ dome. According to the company, this new dome provides double exposure, what it terms wide dynamic range (WDR) imaging, 60 frames per second video (fps), low latency PTZ, and features including Single Cable POE installation methods in all models, and the full suite of the company’s video analytics.
Craig Beal, Senior Product Manager of PTZ cameras, Pelco by Schneider Electric, said: “The launch of Spectra Enhanced represents a huge leap forward in video quality, low-latency motor control, and many new features that bring excellent value and performance to our customers. Spectra Enhanced provides full HD 1080p video at a lightning-fast 60 frames per second that virtually eliminates motion blur and clearly shows the details in both live and recorded video. In addition, these cameras include SureVision 2.0 image processing that allows the camera to overcome even the most difficult lighting situations.”
Beal added that the electronic and mechanical architecture of Spectra Enhanced have been optimised to remove latency. “This optimisation provides incredibly smooth motor control and makes the camera very easy to use. PTZ and video latency have been reduced by an average of 28 per cent and 23pc respectively. Pan, tilt, and zoom are far faster and more accurate than any IP PTZ cameras ever built. On top of that, you can install the camera using a single Ethernet cable with Power over Ethernet in all models, this helps reduce your installation time and cost. We are excited because the camera brings a lot of value, users instantly see and feel the difference.”
