Monitoring partner

CheckMySystems Ltd – a CCTV health and operation monitoring software company – signed-up IMDS (Intelligent Monitoring and Data Solutions) as a key monitoring centre partner for its CheckMyCCTV automatic fault-finding solution during IFSEC 2012 in Birmingham.

Based near Goole in Humberside, IMDS is an Alarm Receiving Centre which holds the National Security Inspectorate’s Gold standard including the BS8418 standard for CCTV.  IMDS is also seeking to promote this remote CCTV fault-finding capability as a standalone option for sites that may not be interested in, or simply cannot afford, a full 24/7 CCTV monitoring service but want to know whether their CCTV is in working order.

Darren Rewston, Managing Director at CheckMySystems said: “Signing up IMDS is a positive step for us and adds to the list of high quality providers that have come on board with us over the past 12 months. We are certainly looking forward to working closely with IMDS as they roll-out CheckMyCCTV to new and existing customers and use their expertise to extend the scope of the applications where it can be successfully deployed.”

And Simon Vukasinovic, Director at IMDS said: “Following a demonstration of CheckMyCCTV we trialled the solution which surpassed all of our expectations with the features offered. It has been extremely easy for our operators to pick up and run with, whether it be the on-screen ‘traffic light warning’ or the ability to integrate with Google maps so an interactive map of sites covered – and their status –  can be readily displayed. When implemented CheckMyCCTV certainly provides a much more detailed and time efficient overview of equipment issues than more traditional approaches.

“Deciding to become a CheckMySystems’ partner for CheckMyCCTV should unlock a tremendous range of opportunities for us, whether it be ensuring that the CCTV equipment on existing customer sites is fully operational, through remote fault checks, or looking to expand our customer base in new areas.  A case in point are mission-critical sectors like utilities where, with the threat of metal theft, they simply cannot afford to leave any CCTV failures undetected.”
