IP-ready products

by Mark Rowe

Some 14 new HD and Mega Pixel IP models have been added to Honeywell’s line of equIP Series cameras. The equIP Series S is a family of IP-ready products – including box cameras, IR indoor domes and domes – that integrate with Honeywell and third-party NVRs.

The new cameras deliver full HD video (up to 25 fps) with 720p, 1080p, 3MP or 5MP resolution for applications from small retail outlets to large systems for city centres, the multi-national says. All of the cameras feature on-board micro SD card storage to help prevent video loss by storing locally when communication to the NVR or video service is off-line. The equIP Series S features P-Iris that enables sharper images with better clarity and contrast by optimising the depth of field and sensitivity most suited to any application, the makers add.

Daniel Wan, Channel Marketing Manager UK/I, Honeywell Security Group, said: “Expanding our portfolio allows the equIP Series to truly offer an IP video solution for every installation. Together with our current range, the new equIP series S models are ONVIF Profile S compatible, providing open, broad, third-party integration.”

Other IP offerings include the company’s MAXPRO cloud-hosted services, NVRs and hybrid recording devices, and its flagship video management system and encoders. Honeywell is introducing VGA PTZ models. The standard definition provides video with 30X and 36X image stabilization options. The HDZ standard definition PTZ line-up reuses the flexible mounting options available on the existing HD lineup to meet a variety of applications.
