IDIS awards at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

IDIS marked some major integration projects by SECOM Plc and iC2 CCTV with an award ceremony on the company’s stand during the 2018 IFSEC show, followed by a drinks reception. Pictured is YD Kim, CEO of IDIS presenting a partner award to Alan Blake, Commerical Director of SECOM Plc. Other awards went to Andrew Whelan, Managing Director of installer iC2 CCTV; and the distribution company EET Europarts’s Managing Director, Simon Smith.

YD Kim said: “Working in close partnership with our security industry friends – great companies like SECOM, iC2 CCTV and EET Europarts – is a top priority for us. This approach helps shapes our technology development programme and ensures that we remain best placed to deliver solutions that the market really needs.”

SECOM Plc, the fire and security services company which employs 53,000 people around the world, was named as National Integration Partner. This year SECOM completed a number of IDIS video integration projects, including for a coffee brand, a pub chain and a fitness and leisure centre chain.

London-based iC2 CCTV was presented with the Specialist Integration Partner Award. The company has completed several projects using the IDIS products over the last year and has proven adept at using wireless; of particular use for local government customers such as Leybourne Parish Council, allowing video surveillance to be extended and modernised with minimal need for civil works and disruption.

EET Europarts was named Security Distribution Partner award for service over the last 12 months. EET Europarts’ UK operation distributes surveillance, access control and public-address equipment to installers. The company has supplied IDIS since 2014, notably the DirectIP line as well as IDIS DirectCX, described by the manufacturer as an advanced HD analogue solution that allows customers to use their coax cabling.

At the presentation, James Min, Managing Director, IDIS Europe praised this year’s award winners. “Together we are demonstrating what the best technology and the most dedicated people can achieve. When we work closely together and support our partners we deliver outstanding solutions for our customers.”
