G20 leaders video

by Mark Rowe

The broadband video and data communication systems company Teleste announced a deployment of its video surveillance to Australian Federal Police and Queensland State Police. The deployment includes hardware and software to enforce security operations related to G20 leaders summit in Australia, in November 2014. The equipment will be delivered and installed by Optical Solutions Australia.

The deployment of the solution is in progress, and based upon the Teleste VMX video management platform as an umbrella system for CCTV during the summit. The VMX platform will be used to interconnect 700 cameras, operating on a number of video management platforms, sourced from more than ten separate sites within Queensland. The G20 summit will gather together world leaders, and providing adequate and appropriate security for the circumstances at the time is a major task for the authorities.
